This policy explains what JEEcompass ("we", "us") collects when you use www.jeecompass.com, why, and what you can do about it. We do not sell your personal data.

What we collect

Forms: when you register for a webinar, join the newsletter or contact us, we store the details you enter: name, email, phone/WhatsApp number (webinar only), exam attempt year and your message.
Account: when you sign up, we store your name, email, exam year and a salted, hashed password (we never store the password itself). If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account identifier, name and email from Google.
Study activity: study sessions, chapter progress and stages you log in the tracker.
Tests: your answers, timings, scores and ranks in test series.
Payments: for paid plans, we store the order, amount, status and Razorpay payment reference. Card, UPI and bank details are entered on Razorpay's checkout and are never seen or stored by us.
Visit statistics: when you view a public page we count it using only the date, page, referring website, country and device type. We do not store your IP address or set a cookie for this, and we skip visitors whose browser sends Do Not Track.
Technical data: IP address, browser type and request logs, processed by our hosting provider for security and abuse prevention, including limiting repeated login attempts.

How we use it

To provide your account, tracker, tests, rankings and paid features.
To send webinar details, reply to messages and, if you subscribed, send the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time.
To process payments, grant access and prevent fraud.
To secure the site and improve the service.

Cookies

We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. It holds a random session token and is removed when you log out or it expires. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies; our visit statistics are cookie-free.

Who handles your data

We share data only with service providers needed to run the site:

Cloudflare hosts the site and stores our database.
Razorpay processes payments under its own privacy policy.
Google provides sign-in (if you choose it) and serves fonts. Fetching fonts shares your IP address with Google.
jsDelivr serves the maths-rendering library on pages that show equations.
Links to YouTube, WhatsApp and other sites lead to services with their own policies.

We may disclose data if required by law. Data may be processed on servers outside India.

How long we keep it

We keep account and activity data while your account exists. Payment records are kept as long as needed for accounting and legal obligations. Form submissions are kept until you ask us to delete them.

Your choices

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent, by writing to us via the contact form. We will respond within a reasonable time. Some payment records may need to be retained by law.

Security

Passwords are hashed, session tokens are stored only as hashes, and traffic is encrypted over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Children

Many aspirants are under 18. If you are, please involve a parent or guardian before creating an account, paying for a plan or sharing personal details with us.

Changes

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do. Continued use of the site means you accept the current version.
